What are the benefits of Kickboxing?
Kickboxing for fitness is an aerobic exercise that combines elements of martial arts, boxing and aerobics to provide overall physical toning and conditioning.
This high intensity workout has many physical and practical benefits such as improving your co-ordination, strength, speed, endurance, agility, balance and cardiovascular system.
With kickboxing you can learn techniques and proper forms of movement such as side kicks, front kicks, jabs, hooks and cross punches while ever reducing your stress levels.
Join our martial arts expert Christian Thomson for a unique kickboxing class. Christian has been fighting with the WAKOGB international team since 2005 and is a black belt in mugendo kickboxing. During this time he has become the WAKO British Kickboxing Champion, WKA World Champion, Cimac Grand Champion and a WAKO Junior European gold and bronze medallist to name but a few.
There are now 2 weekly drop-in kickboxing classes designed to help you get super fit and break up the weekly routine.
Kick boxing workouts allow you to burn off 350 to 500 calories in just an hour.
Monday 7.15pm & Wednesday 6pm
Both classes last one hour
